The new office light has been hung. It's pretty exciting to me!!
Partly because I worked without a light for 4 weeks!
Partly because I purchased it when I was shopping with a client in Arizona.
Partly because my 6 yr old and I hung it ourselves.
But MOSTLY because it's super fabulous and inspiring to me.
My new desk is in- just need to pick it up and paint it the perfect hue of WHITE. Also have my eye on a bookcase at "Zing", which might have to be mine!
Draperies will be ready by 10am tomorrow!
It's gettin' REAL people!!
We all have them! That one area in your home that provides annoyance each time you look at it!
In our home it was this awkwardly placed cabinet in our kitchen. Since we moved in almost 2 years ago, it had doors on it and it caught all those "what should I do with this..." items.
Recently I removed the doors to see if that would be enough of a fix....I really don't want to invest in having a contractor remedy the situation. It wasn't enough- I really don't need an open shelf cabinet like this either...
AND then it came to me! I will hang a piece of ART over it! HELLO!! But not just any piece of art, I bought a canvas and together with my daughter we are collaborating on what should hang there! She is going to paint it for me.
My heart is happier already....
Early in December I traveled to AZ to work on a clients home. One part of that process was shopping for lighting. While there I found this light I couldn't refuse! It is to arrive at my home today. (as you might imagine I am giddy!!)
This light will always be a reminder of that client, Judy. Whom I know came into my life as a gift from God. Her presence and constant support has lit up my life!
It's all a process; learning, and growing in Christ & putting together a new office. It's not WHAT makes us happy but WHY. This light makes me happy because it is symbolic to me. I am blessed......
